EIDTSThe Ecumenical Institute for Distance Theological Studies is located in Christchurch and serves church leaders throughout New Zealand who are seeking to enhance their understanding, skills and qualifications for ministry.

CHC2052 Reformed (Presbyterian) Studies

Presbyterian Studies is offered as part of the LTh programme alongside other church history subjects, and papers in biblical studies, theology, and pastoral ministry.

John Roxborogh

John was previously senior lecturer in Reformed Studies and the Knox Centre for Ministry and Leadership of the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand. As well as being Tutor for this paper, he is currently a Visiting Scholar at the Centre for the Study of Asian Christianity at Trinity Theological College Singapore. He has taught mission studies at Laidlaw College in Auckland and church history and biblical studies in Malaysia. He was earlier in parish ministry in Wellington.

Before training for the ministry John was an electrical engineer. As well as seeking to make Presbyterianism fun, he is interested in archives and mission and the history of Christianity in Southeast Asia. He is married to Jenny and they have four adult children.
